I've been thinking lately about what Pokemon could become playable characters on the next SSB. I wanted to do a poll but I realized the range is just too broad. So I'm going to say what I would like to see in the next game.
Then I would like you guys to list 10 Pokemon or people (ie: Pokemon Trainer) to be in the next game, 1 being the one you would most like to see.
Okay, here are my options.
1.) Eevee - Eevee will probably be the most unique. I would like it to have the ability to change into one of its 7 forms. I'm would guess you could pick which one you would like to be on the Character Select screen like you would with the Pokemon Trainer or Zelda. I'm not really sure if it would be a good idea for it to switch forms during game play. I think that you should probably start off with Eevee and then change into one of the forms that use select. As for a reason why it would go from Eevee to one of the Eons, the best thing I can think of would be to get a Smash ball. And if you get KO'd, you'll go back to your Eevee form. Even though it would be convenient I don't think freely changing from Eevee to its evolved form would be reasonable because everyone would switch to the evolved form right away leaving Eevee no chance to be played with.

First off, though, I'd rather see Mewtwo come back. Lucario's awesome and all, but I miss my psycho kitty...
If they ever make the weird decision to bring in another 'chu, I'm hoping they pick Raichu next time. Since Pichu, Plusle, and Minun don't appear to be very popular picks for anyone, I don't think anyone would object to Raichu...
I still say Meowth should of been a playable character in Brawl. I don't know what his moveset would have been, but I would want his final smash to involve him pulling out that guitar from Meowth's Party and wailing on another character with it.
And a Pokémon Rival character. I know it was a popular idea going around when Pokémon Trainer was introduced... I still stand by my pick of Chikorita, Quilava, and Feraligatr for their Pokémon, though. (and if you really can't see why, you should go to the nearest game store and buy your first Pokémon game...)
1. Gardevoir. I absolutely LOVE Gardevoir and I wish they had given her a better use instead of simply block projectiles. I wish she could be playable.
2. Gallade. I love Gallade as much as Gardevoir, (they're the cutest "Pokemon" couple out there in my opinion.) Plus he's just so cool, I could def. see him fighting in an SSB game.
I'd also love Raichu and Ampharos. I think Marowak would be cool too ^_^
